Morning Show comes
back at 8:03 in the Philippine standard time. World Mission Society Church of God has recently conducted the environmental clean-up campaign, which was in
the preparation for the Passover of the New Covenant coming up tomorrow. Here, Deacon Phil
Park from World Mission Society Church of God is with us today. Good morning.
<Deacon Phil Park>
Good morning, Viki
<MC>
You had the environmental
clean-up. Where did you do clean-up?
<Deacon Phil Park>
We did it at
coastal area in Paranaque. It was our
first big environmental clean-up campaign.
<MC>
How much garbage
did you remove from there?
<Deacon Phil Park>
We filled one
really big truck. Around 700~900 people gathered together to clean the coastal
area, so the city hall of Paranaque interested were quite surprised and impressed.
<MC>
Is this a yearly
event or special one just for this time?
<Deacon Phil Park>
Actually, we are
doing it every month but we had it with 700~900 people gathered before the Passover
because it’s the biggest feast in the Bible for us, the members of WorldMission Society Church of God. In the preparation for cleaning up physically
and spiritually, we had this big gathering to clean up the coastal area and
make difference.
<MC>
<Deacon Phil Park>
Yes, the Passover
of the New Covenant is bread and wine. 2,000 years ago, Jesus brought us (the
Passover) and gave (bread and wine of the Passover) said, “This is my flesh and
this is my blood.” Through this Passover, our souls are cleansed.
Just like we had the
clean-up campaign (before the Passover), we clean up our souls at the same time
(through the Passover). Jesus also promised us He would come a second time andrevive the Passover. In history, the Passover was abolished in AD 325, so Jesus
promised to come back a second time.
<MC>
Why was it
abolished?
<Deacon Phil Park>
According to the
prophecy of the Bible, the Passover is very important, so Satan abolished it as
it is prophesied.
<MC>
So, on May 5, we
have something happening in connection with this?
<Deacon Phil Park>
Yes, on May 5, we
have the 2nd Passover for those who did not celebrate the 1st
Passover on April 5, so we have this gathering on May 5 and our church is
located in the 36th Kalayaan avenue in Quezon city, it’s a newly
built temple and beautiful building. I hope many people come to our church tocelebrate the Passover and enter the kingdom of heaven all together.
<MC>
What do people
expect from the Passover? What’s going to happen?
<Deacon Phil Park>
Basically, we eat and drink the bread and wine of the Passover and then our souls are cleansed and we are given the forgiveness of sins. The Passover is being practiced all around the world in 150 countries. I hope viewers and Filipinos would also come
over and accept this blessing from God.
<MC>
OK, it’s really
important to be more aware of the environmental problems in the world today,
especially in our country and you connect religion and environment. Why is
that?
<Deacon Phil Park>
It’s because
everything is connected physically and spiritually. We do good things for
physical world and we are also preparing the spiritual world.
You can see our
church is an official partner of UN. We practiced many clean-ups and donated
the substantial amount (of money) for Haiti victims and earthquake victims in
Chile, where were very big earthquakes and this is the why UN proposed us to
have the partnership.
Like this, we are
trying to make difference physically and preparations to enter the kingdom of
heaven spiritually at the same time.
<MC>
So, do we have to
go through the Passover to be cleansed. Is that MUST?
<Deacon Phil Park>
Yes, according to the Bible, our faiths towards God are very important but faith alone cannot save us. We need to show and prove to God that we also love him because God
showed his love sacrificing himself and being crucified on the cross. As God
showed his love to us through actions, we must do the same thing toward God.
<MC>
Then, how many people
do you expect to attend the Passover ceremony on May 5?
<Deacon Phil Park>
All around
Philippines, we have around 30 churches including house churches and about
2,000~3,000, even up to 5,000 people are expected to celebrate the Passover in
Philippine alone.
<MC>
Do we have to be
member of World Mission Society Church of God to be able to attend that? Or
others just want so see how it is. Can they attend (to see)?
<Deacon Phil Park>
Yes, actually
anybody can attend. Just come to 36th Kalayaan avenue in Quezon city
and you will see our building. We will introduce to you what the Passover is
about. When you understand and realize it, you can partake in the Passover.
<MC>
I remember the
Passover in my Bible class. During Egyptian times, there was a problem. They
had the Passover to save themselves. Can you tell details about it?
<Deacon Phil Park>
Yes, during the
time of Moses, Israelites were slavery to Egyptians. Israelites had to keep the
Passover to get away from the slavery to Egypt. They put the blood (of the
Passover lamb) on a door frame as a sign and when Holy Spirit came and saw the
sign (blood), they passed over Israelites, so the disaster did not hit them.
If you see the New
Testament, bread and wine are called the Passover and there’s matching between
the Passover in the Old Testament and one in the New Testament. This means it(Passover of New Testament) has the same effect. It will protect us from any disaster and release us from the slavery of sins. This world is actually…
<MC>
That’s how it is
applied now. I remember the parting of the Red sea and they(Israelites) were
saved. I hope we don’t have that. We have tsunami.
<Deacon Phil Park>
Early in this morning,
you were talking about climate change. I have noticed climate is getting worse
and worse every day. According to the prophecies of the Bible, these are really
supposed to occur. God is trying to tell us that authorities, money or anything
cannot save us from disasters. If you watch ‘2012’ movie, even presidents
could not do anything but are fallen into the disaster. Likewise, God is trying
to tell us there’s no one who can save us but only God, so we need to follow
what God tells us to do.
God came back a
second time and His name is Christ Ahnsahnghong, who brought us the Passover,
which was abolished, to save mankind, so it is being practiced all around the
world. I hope all the viewers and Filipinos could come over to our church and
receive true salvation.
<MC>
<Deacon Phil Park>
Yes, you can say
that.
<MC>
All right. Thank
you, good morning.
<Deacon Phil Park>
Thank you, good
morning. Viki
<MC>

I've just got a little information about the Passover, but I am sure it's a good thing because members of church of God are practicing good deeds for it.
